Bucking in the chute
The next RC Hall record is loaded in the chute and kicking the boards. Ten songs of high country krunk, outlaw bluegrass and hard truth, cut at the Dawg House with the dirt left on.
What it is
Strychnine and Rattlesnakes is the record that has been pacing the pen since the last one. Same wood, wire and whiskey backbone, meaner teeth. Banjo that bites, a stand up bass you can feel in the floorboards, and stories about the folks who keep walking toward the thing that can kill them.
Tracking is underway at the Dawg House. Nothing is locked yet, which is exactly the fun part. Watch it get built.
Outlaw bluegrass with the amps warm. Acoustic bones, electric bruises, harmonies sung a little too close to the mic.
Cut live at Dawg House Studios in the Rockies. Full takes, few punches, whatever the room gives us stays on the tape.
